COUCH to 5K CHALLENGE

REFLEX International and the Concord Parks and Recreation Department are taking the wellness program to the next level with the COUCH to 5K CHALLENGE.  You will encourage, motivate and compete with your peers in a 5K Run on 11/6/2010. The Couch to 5k challenge includes 20 group sessions and an off day exercise program.  The Couch to 5k challenge will meet at Dorton Park in Concord on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s beginning 8/31/2010.  No Fee - register online now.

 

  • Free 10 week program beginning 8/31/2010
  • Meet Tuesday and Thursday – 7:00 pm @ Dorton Park
  • Group training plan provided
  • Concludes with the running of the United Way Run for Your Life 5k (registration fee required)
  • No running experience necessary
  • Program led by certified instructor
  • Group Accountability/ Encouragement

REFLEX International provides events and competitions designed around health and fitness.   Whether you are on your own or part of large group, REFLEX can help you and those around you grow and succeed.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting us at the Concord Parks and Recreation Department. Whether you are looking for recreational programming, hours of operation or the closest park or greenway, we have something for you.

Providing quality programming and services and a safe, aesthetically pleasing greenway and park system is the commitment we make every day to families and residents of Concord. We take great pride in providing services that enhance quality of life and we strive to make our community a great place to live.

Make time for yourself and family to take a walk through one of our parks. Walk, jog or bike the greenways, visit one of our community centers and participate in a recreational class or program.   There is no better time to invest in a healty future than today.

The Concord Parks and Recreation Department takes great pride in the community support we receive and want you to know that we are continually working to earn your support.
